Archival Remixes 1 - "With The Band"

This is part of an ongoing experimental project I call "Archival Remixes". The goal of this project is to create a new narrative for antique or dated images that have a dash of humor, character or wit that can be enjoyed by a modern audience. Each image is found in free image archives. Each one also serves an an exploration of Photoshop for me and an expression of my personal style and humor.
For this piece, I found this image in the Library of Congress' archives. All edits to the original image and text were added in Photoshop. I wanted to give this image a punk-inspired posterization, with layers of halftones, duotone, chopped paper texture, and more.
